Hoikushi BOOK Navi

A job and career-change site that lets nursery teachers go from finding a workplace that suits them to requesting a visit, all on one site. It was built for a business in Saitama Prefecture.

Purpose of the site

Childcare workplaces come in many types — licensed nurseries, certified childcare centres, after-school clubs, sick-child care and more — and the work itself differs greatly even under the same “nursery teacher” job. The site aims to let job seekers narrow down candidates by facility type and area, learn what each nursery is like, and then move on to a visit.

Design approach

We prioritised an unbroken flow of “search → learn → request a visit”. From search results to a nursery page, and from that page to the visit request, the next step is always in view. Events, seminars and articles (the Journal) for students who are job hunting can also be published on the same site.

Main features

Job search combines prefecture and city with 19 facility types. Each nursery page shows capacity, location, access, salary and holidays in the same format, along with photos and an introduction. When the visit request form is opened from a nursery page, it starts with the nursery’s name already filled in. There is also a “childcare values” questionnaire to help people think about which workplace suits them, event listings, articles you can browse by category, and a LINE consultation channel. Content is updated with WordPress (a system for editing pages and posts in the browser).
